4 reasons why brand voice matters

You may already know that your brand can have a personality, but did you know that your brand can actually have a voice too? In fact, using a consistent brand voice is a super important thing to know and use for your business, especially when you’re just starting out.

If you want to stand out you’ve got to have a brand voice. You’ve got to know it and use it. Here are 4 reasons why brand voice matters.

1. Be more relatable

Nobody wants to do business with, well, a business. We’d all much rather have a personal experience, right?

Well, by using a brand voice, your business will be more relatable by letting your copy sound more like it’s from a human rather than a robot. Ultimately this will make your audience like you better and they’ll be more likely to work with you.

Stand out in the crowded online space

Having a unique brand voice will set you apart from others that are offering similar services.

As I’ve mentioned before, we all have unique qualities, we’ve just got to let them shine. These unique qualities are often what will make your message memorable.

Create more brand recognition

I know you’ve probably heard me talk about how important it is to be consistent with your brand visuals so that your audience can start recognizing your business when they see it.

Well, your brand voice works the same way. In fact, your voice helps to amplify your visuals to guarantee that you’re communicating a solid and cohesive brand.

Develop trust

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “Consistency equals trust.”

So when you develop a consistent brand voice and use it across all of the various media platforms, people will know what to expect from you and they’ll begin to trust you. And this is key — people buy from those they trust.

Now, if you’re in the beginning stages of starting your business and you’re strategizing your brand voice then good job! This is something to nail down from the beginning. But you may be wondering where to actually get started and what to do next when it comes to getting your business launched.
